Reuniendo a doce productores de Sudamérica, Hiedrah Club de Baile presenta ESQUIRLAS, su primer compilado. ESQUIRLAS es el fruto de la red de afectos musicales que HiedraH ha ido tejiendo a cuatro años de conformarse como centro de experimentación de música club de Buenos Aires.
Tomando como base central la Memoria -personal e intransferible- de las primeras apropiaciones del ritmo, las canciones que conforman este álbum remiten a instantes e impresiones sensoriales pasadas, a reconstrucciones de paisajes sonoros de cada uno de lxs artistas y sus vivencias. ¿Cómo sonaba la lluvia debajo del techo de chapa de mi cocina? ¿qué música bailaban mis hermanos mayores? ¿Cómo sonaban los bailes del barrio? ¿Qué pájaros trinaban al borde del río dónde solía pasar el verano? fueron algunas de las preguntas que hoy son evocadas en este compilado, y quien transite esta escucha podrá hallar - o imaginar - como respuestas si presta atención a las señales que aparecen a lo largo de este mapa de sonidos reconstruidos.
Este compilado, que actúa como cartografía bailable o nota al margen de un diario de ruta, es también la celebración de este camino en conjunto, en la que brindamos porque la Memoria sea el alimento alegre y el de nuestros clubes, de nuestras geografías y de estos cuerpos únicos que todavía portamos.
Eso es ESQUIRLAS. La visión emotiva de nuestros pasados presta a ser bailada por quién quiera gozar en la intimidad colectiva de nuestras pistas de baile.

Bringing together twelve different producers from South America, Hiedrah Club de Baile introduces ESQUIRLAS, its first compilation. ESQUIRLAS is the fruit of the musical affections network that HiedraH has been weaving for four years, establishing itself as a club music experimentation center in Buenos Aires.
We take personal and non-transferable memory, the memory of the first rhythm appropriations, as our basis. The songs that make this album summon up past sensorial impressions and moments, soundscape reconstructions of each one of the artists and their life experiences. What did the rain sound like when it hit my kitchen tin roof? What music did my older siblings dance to? What was the sound of my neighborhood parties? Which birds chirped next to that river that was always part of my summers? Those were some of the questions now evoked by this compilation. Whoever goes through the listening of this record may find - or imagine - the answers if they pay attention to the signals that appear throughout this map of reconstructed sounds.
This compilation works as a danceable cartography or as a journey log footnote.
It is also the celebration of this path we have taken together - we have a toast for Memory as the joyful and loyal feed for our clubs, our geography and these peculiar bodies we still own.
That is ESQUIRLAS. The emotional vision of our pasts, ready to be danced to by anyone who may want to take pleasure in the collective intimacy of our dance floors.
